I get so excited every week when I get to introduce more members of The Extended Family!
My name is Brittany and I was a vegetarian for 6 years. I made the choice in high school to go vegetarian because I decided I didn’t agree with factory farming. I have always been fairly active, but just recently found running. I have been running for a little over a year, and am training for my second half marathon. When I noticed my energy lacking, I decided to try a vegan diet. I loved it so much I never went back to eating dairy. I have been a vegan for 9 months and have loved every second. I have noticed a tremendous difference in my energy level, my body slimmed down, and my running has improved. I love my lifestyle and feel more alive knowing exactly what I put into my body.

My name is Suzanne and I live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband, Carlos, my nine-year old son and seven-year old daughter. I taught high school special education for seven years until my son was born.
Our whole family is very active. Carlos participates in duathlon’s and triathlon’s of all distances and almost always places in his age group. Both of my children also compete in triathlon’s and road races and have also placed in their age groups and overall! They also participate in the swim team at our gym and like to go on bike rides with my husband up to 25 miles in distance. I love going to the gym for weight training, yoga, and my run club. I compete in several races each year with my favorite distance being the half marathon. I have even placed in my age group in a few of them!
We have been eating a plant-based diet for the past three years and feel amazing!
