Meet my Veggie Kids! They are 3 1/2 and 20 months. The are also both pretty stinkin awesome!
Their whole world revolves around food. They are “good eaters” and normally eat a lot, although they prefer to graze. I hear requests all day long for apples and banana’s. The 20 month little guys says “amanas” instead of bananas.
The 3 1/2 year old loves eating leaves; he eats spinach mostly but will eat raw kale too. We give him a tiny bit of salad dressing to dip the leaves in.
We made the move to plant-based 1 year ago and I’m so happy with their progress. Before we made the switch the big guy was a drive-thru, fast food junkie! He has come a long way.
The little guy hasn’t really been exposed to much unhealthy food. He can’t handle gluten so fast food isn’t really an option.
A few of their favorite recipes are: GF Apple Muffins, GF Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins, Baked Potatoes, Parfaits, Smoothies, Unfried Beans and Mexican Rice, Brown Rice and Broccoli Casserole among other recipes you can check out on my Recipe Page.

Thanks! Don’t let their cuteness fool you, they are trouble makers!

They are adorable! When I have kids, I intend to raise them the plant based way like you do. 🙂

Thank you! They don’t eat perfectly but I’m still pretty happy with their diet. 🙂

It was so fun getting to see your little guys. I WISH I made the switch to plant-based when my children were younger so the adjustment would not have been so dramatic.
Yay for you and your kiddos 🙂

Thanks! I remember when my big guy would beg for burgers and frys, now he begs for fruit! That makes me a happy momma! It has definitely been harder for my teens but since they don’t live with us most of the time I can’t let it get too me. I love that my little guys can name off tons of fruit and veggies.

I get so happy when I see families feed their little ones healthy, real foods like you do! What a great mom. I’ll check out your recipe for the brown rice casserole.

Thanks Sarina!
My kids love it! We had it every week for months so now I’m taking a great from it.

I love this, I keep thinking what a blessing we are giving our children by giving them this lifestyle and diet now. I wish I had been eating this way my whole life. My 9 year old is becoming quite the little activist and plant based chef!
My Plant Based Family says
I totally agree! My 3 year old still talks about cake and icecream even though he hasn’t had much of it. He sees and hears about it on kids shows. I think that fuels it more than anything.

Makes sense, my youngest still wants hot dogs and marshmallows. Gross 😉

Adorable!!! I love that your son dips his leaves! 🙂 How fun eating with yout hands, right? (at least at 3 you can pull that off.) What is his favorite dip? You are doing an awesome job and your kids will have an excellent healthy start in life! 🙂

Thanks Kelly, He will dip it in anything; raspberry vinegarette, hummus, and balsamic vinegarette, are a few we typically have. Who doesn’t love a good dip, right?
