A week or so ago I started a new Facebook group called Plant-Based Christians. I have received a lot of email from people who are both Christians and plant-based and they were looking for resources and support. I really didn’t know of a group or forum that shared both interest so I decided to start a group on Facebook.
While most of my post are focused on plant-based eating, my life is driven by my faith. I can’t compartmentalize my faith; it may or may not be evident by my writing. I try (and fail) to be an ambassador of Christ and an ambassador of healthy living.
If you are a Christian and looking for a little plant-based support check out our group Plant-Based Christians.
There are a lot of other groups out there without religious affiliations. I’m a member of two of the Happy Herbivore groups, Herbie Parents and Gluten-free Herbies, and The Veganauts. Everything in the Happy Herbivore groups are under the Happy Herbivore umbrella so it is low-fat (no oil) and no animal products. The Veganaut group is more inclusive and open to those who are not quite committed to a plant-based lifestyle but still looking for support.
Do you know of another group that is supportive? Leave a comment below telling us about it.

Perhaps consider editing which ads appear on your site – I’m not sure if you’re aware that some of them are for ‘angel’ tarot cards, which are anti- Christian.
Also, the Lord has taught me a lot about nutrition, and though I think a plant- based diet is good, he has definitely warned me against ‘veganism’, which is a spirit connected with self righteousness and judgement of others.

Hi Rose,
Unfortunately I don’t control the ads on my site. They are based on cookies from other sites users visit. So right now, I see ads for grocery stores, office supply stores, my internet/phone company, etc.
I don’t have a problem with people using the label vegan. I personally use plant-based to describe the way I eat, there are times when I’ll describe food that doesn’t contain meat or dairy, but that isn’t whole food as vegan.
I’m grateful that God has a plan and leads us and teaches us. For me, He is teaching me to trust Him and embrace people just as they are. I do my best not to judge people, even if they live differently than me. Judgement isn’t a job I want, only God is qualified. I hope people feel the love of Jesus and never judgement from me.

This is fantastic idea! I’ve been wanting to start a business sharing my faith and my plant-based lifestyle but I wasn’t sure if there were others out there like me. I’m so happy to have found you and your FB group! I look forward to connecting with like-minded believers. 😀
